Good morning and Welcome! to where the Scales of Ma’at ought to be, but aren’t due to writing commitments this week. So I’m throwing in filler until next week (or sooner) when the Scales come back for some active weighing of hearts against the Feather of Truth, symbol of Ma’at. If I don’t, the landlord (Catherine Chandler) has already threatened me with severe psychic harm if I can’t produce, produce, produce! So here is the filler for today, learning a little something about the Thoth deck 8 of Disks. As before, I have cribbed      thoughts on the card, as he/she has one of the best, pithiest, most compact sites out there for accurate description. So here we go!
Eight of Disks - Prudence
Hod in the Tree of LifeTree of Life: Hod through Earth
Astrology: Sun in the 1. Decan of Virgo
For the Eight of Disks, the entering of Hod means a new beginning. The Disks have learned the lesson that Saturn has taught in the disastrous Seven, that everything needs time and consideration. Now here within Hod, the area of logic, the Eight of Disks develop prudence and patience.

So the Eight of Disks have learned to be careful, take their time to overthink their steps, considerate all facts and patiently wait for their chances. They absolve an apprenticeship in their own field, trying to do it better and avoid the mistakes from earlier stages.

On the dark side, the Eight of Disks can be over-careful, or careful just in small things while foolish in the big, over-anxious in front of risks, unable to come to any conclusion or decision, considering with no end but finally doing nothing.

Drive: Consideration, prudence

Light: Realization of coherences, ability to wait for the right moment

Shadow: Penny-wise and pound-foolish, hoarding, stagnation, immovableness
