Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 30/11/2017; in the words of Eddard Stark, “Christmas is Coming . . .” Argghhh! I have nothing against the holiday; after all, it is simply a stolen version of the birth of Horus, child of Osiris and Isis. I DO have a problem with an organization that took the Truth and perverted it for 2,000 years to serve its own ends and dominate the ‘sheeple,’ so boo-hiss on christianity. Today’s deck is the *Tarot del Fuego* by Ricardo Cavolo. I am really starting to like this deck, it reminds me a lot of the *Bonefire Tarot* that is so massively popular among aficionados. This deck reads VERY well, and I have no qualms recommending it to anyone. Onward & Upward! My draw today is: Sulfur = XIII Death; Mercury = XX Judgement, and Salt = the Ace of Wands. Well, well, well . . . (‘tap tap tap’ from the desktop as the well-manicured fingers of Domino the tarologue tap the tabletop, She IS beautiful, isn’t she? Grin.) I have been receiving XIII on and off quite regularly lately and here it is again, yet today it makes me unquiet. I don’t see my own death, 1st things first.
However, today I DO intuit a whiff of mortality about the cards, coupled with XX Judgment like this, as well as the prime mover of Wands being the Energy source for these Elements. Imagination, creation/destruction (Fire,) “life”, etc., all balled up in three simple cards that “seem to” speak to me of mortality raising its shadow in my realm; if anyone comes to mind with this, I have two elderly relatives that, although functional and “okay,” could still tip the balance without it being an overly great shock. I grieve to think of either of them ‘transiting,’ but if such is to be, then “As Above, So Below.” S/He is ready to move on; “Round ‘em up!! Westward, ho!!” Of course, this may not be the case at all, and I could be looking at the ongoing XIII/Rebirth of my Path out of a temporary dead-end and my way “out & up.” It is NOTORIOUSLY difficult to interpret impending physical death, we know that; however, we mustn’t swing too far in the opposite direction and refuse to see it when it shows up in the cards. Whenever XIII shows up for me, I welcome it as a good omen, without hesitation; change & moving forward is GOOD. Coupled with XX Judgment, it produces a state of “self-assessment” that is absolutely essential to continuing; Judgement is a function which YOU employ for yourself; no one “judges” you but you, and you are implacable. If you haven’t finished the Path in its entirety, then you WILL send yourself back to pick up where you left off. This can continue as long as your willingness to remain ignorant continues. There are neither “last chances” nor a Hell; there is always another chance, “until the end of Time,” and Hell is simply needing to return again and again to the Material to finish the Journey. Or so I would like to believe. I emphasize that I am not preaching a text, merely writing down observations & conclusions made & drawn over my lifetime. I could go on and on concerning how I perceive the fit within my own “Tarot Temple” in the Memory Palace, but I shan’t.
Too fascinating for me, too boring for you. Grin. I ask the Cosmos to grant us ALL an extradimensional insight today into our own perceptions of Death. Be Well! Be Zen. Be Blessed!! XIII Death - "The Death card is not about the literal death of any person. It may represent the death of something else, like a project, plan, or relationship. This card also points to a time of harvest, symbolized in classical decks by the reaping skeleton. Unless the fruits of summer are harvested, they are lost to winter's harshness, and the people do not eat. As the scythe cuts the cords that link us to the past, it liberates us to go forward without fear, because we have nothing left to lose. Everything being pruned away is recycled for the fertility of the future, so that nothing is really ever lost, despite seasonal cycles of gain and loss. . . Free yourself from a past that no longer serves you well and proceed toward the future. The card in the Advice position suggests a course of action which will harmonize what you want with what is currently possible. The Death card advises you to detach from the old order. You may want to close accounts, complete unfinished tasks, and gather your harvest. It is time to move on. If you cut the cords that have bound you to old ways and outdated conventions, you could free yourself to join the sweep of incoming light. This is not an excuse to reject others or hurt them in any way. It is simply a time to move toward your ultimate interests. Do not allow nostalgia and outworn loyalties to hold you back. Be willing to go through whatever it takes to get to where you really want to be." (www.tarot.com)                                                               XX Judgement - "The Judgement card, sometimes called "Resurrection," represents the great reunion that the ancients believed would happen once in every age. This was the time when souls are harvested and taken home to their place of origin, outside the solar system. Then the world is seeded with a batch of new souls and the process starts over. From a modern point of view, this great reunion -- which includes every personality that you have ever been and every soul that you have done deep work with -- reunites to consciously complete the process. In a way, we symbolically celebrate this returning to center every year on our birthday. In personal terms, the Judgment Tarot card points to freedom from inner conflicts, and so clear a channel, that the buried talents and gifts of past incarnations can come through an individual in this lifetime. This card counsels you to trust the process of opening yourself, because what emerges is of consistently high quality. You can effortlessly manifest as a multi-dimensional being, and assist in evoking that response from others. Let go of your past. The future welcomes you with a bounty of growth and change. The card in the Advice position suggests a course of action which will harmonize what you want with what is currently possible. The Judgment card advises that you allow yourself to grow, transform, and release hidden potentials within yourself.
Divest yourself of fruitless endeavors without neglecting your duties. At the same time, invest your energies in new growth. It's not necessary to reject others, but refuse to be manipulated by those who cry foul. This process isn't about them anyway. It is about you and the desire you feel to change your life and become a more complete person. Trust your impulses and allow this remarkable awakening to happen." (Ibid)            The Ace of Wands - "An Ace of this suit in this position symbolizes a pivotal act, or fateful step, that will set loose a chain of events leading toward your desired goal. It refers to a birth or new beginning, the inauguration of an endeavor, and the building of the necessary commitment to see a project or plan through. It personifies an aroused Will that is totally focused, aiming at the bulls-eye. Be ready to act on imminent opportunity. The card in the Advice position suggests a course of action which will harmonize what you want with what is currently possible. The Ace of Wands in this position encourages energetic movement toward activity. Brace yourself and get ready to spring into action. You may need to make your move soon, so make sure you are fully prepared. Trust your instincts and spontaneity. When the opportunity comes, you may want to seize it without hesitation. So quicken your senses and raise your antenna. There's excitement in the air, and supports your immediate ambitions." (Ibid)
