Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 14/11/2017; on the 23rd of this month Americans everywhere will celebrate Thanksgiving, originally intended to give Thanks to God for seeing the Pilgrims through the fall & winter of the New World with the life-saving aid of the Native American Indians, who later, in gratitude, they slew by the millions. Isn’t America great? LOL. I plan to give thanks this year for my relationship with the Divine (Atum-Ra, in my case), my wife, my life in France, and the comfort which the Cosmos grants me at this time of life. I AM grateful, but not piously or hypocritically; each day of this life is a miracle, and I know it. I have “died” many times over, only to be saved by the incredible or “miraculous.” Well, enough. The deck today is *The Cosmic Tarot* by Norbert Lösche. I like this deck, not only for the familiar old-time Hollywood faces on some of the cards, but because it reads very well indeed, and has a good “vibe.” My draw for today is: Sulfur = IV the Emperor; Mercury = XXI the World, and Salt = the Princess of Wands. A really good draw, even a great one if in contrast to a shitty day, which I have NOT had recently, thank Osiris! (For those to whom it matters, Osiris may be considered the “green” god, not only because of tomb paintings, but because he is eco/bio minded; he taught the Egyptians agriculture and farming. Ha! So there for updating the old deities! LOL.) I feel like a
nursery rhyme; “The Animus is in the Emperor, the Anima is in the World, and the Princess is supplying the fuel, and this little card went wee-wee-wee all the way home.” LOL. The reading is in line with the general trend of readings I have been receiving as of late; there is a lot of talk going on in the Astral about my being a “Threshold dawdler,” that is to say someone who’s delaying a LOT just before a major jump on the Path. It isn’t conscious; I can at least say that. My subconscious is unwilling to make the move RIGHT NOW; “we” ALL want to make the jump and proceed to a new level of personal awareness, responsibility and grasp on my life, but I have this nagging feeling of, “Not yet; not quite yet. Wait . . . wait for it.” So for now, since this stage of the Journey has its own built-in safeguards, I am being careful in the extreme, so that I don’t go haring off after the rabbit down some fantastical path. (Pun intended – Grin.) Imagine it; you are IV the Emperor, calmly & peacefully directing your empire, and a strange mage appears at your court and tells you that the ultimate empire is within his reach, but you need to “step on it, hurry up, no time to pack your douche kit, Let’s Go!” “Whoa, Abremalin, whoa!! Not so fast, my good man! Where! Why! How! And most of all, What is the rush about this time, old sack o’ bones??” Little do you know that your Queen is already psychically pushing for you to get out there, up there, and finish the job, because she is already ready to place herself in XXI the World, role-playing it even now. The power source for this high-flying duo is the Princess of Wands, who might be best described as a “high-flying entitled bitch,” to be blunt about it. She is arrogant, haughty and unstable, and has a streak of cruelty. She is also brimming with Energy for adventure and risk, and is a dynamo in personal relations.
It is a LOT of energy-on-tap, but unless one has a taste for suffering and domination, one should steer clear of personal involvement. I’m going to load-up the rest of the page with some textual descriptions, but for my part, this is it. I’m “happy” with today’s draw; such as it is. IT is a powerfully good reading, and I feel reassured about the direction of my Path today. I just need to be careful of someone trying to talk me into a hasty and ill-conceived tilting-at-windmills. LOL. I ask the Cosmos to grant us ALL a powerful source of Energy today and the wisdom to remain objective with it. Be Well! Be Zen. Be Blessed!! IV the Emperor - "After I learned the first three numbers I was given to understand the Great Law of Four--the alpha and omega of all. I saw the Emperor on a lofty stone throne, ornamented by four rams' heads. On his forehead shone a golden helmet. His white beard fell over a purple mantle. In one hand he held a sphere, the symbol of his possession, and in the other, a scepter in the form of an Egyptian cross--the sign of his power over birth. "I am The Great Law," the Emperor said. "I am the name of God. The four letters of his name are in me and I am in all. I am in the four principles. I am in the four elements. I am in the four seasons. I am in the four cardinal points. I am in the four signs of the Tarot. I am the beginning; I am action; I am completion; I am the result. For him who knows how to see me there are no mysteries on earth. I am the great Pentacle. As the earth encloses in itself fire, water and air; as the fourth letter of the Name encloses in itself the first three and becomes itself the first, so my scepter encloses the complete triangle and bears in itself the seed of a new triangle. I am the Logos in the full aspect and the beginning of a new Logos." And while the Emperor spoke, his helmet shone brighter and brighter, and his golden armor gleamed beneath his mantle. I could not bear his glory and I lowered my eyes. When I tried to lift them again a vivid light of radiant fire was before me, and I prostrated myself and made obeisance to the Fiery Word." ("The Symbolism of the Tarot" by P. D. Ouspensky.)
XXI the World - "An unexpected vision appeared to me. A circle not unlike a wreath woven from rainbow and lightnings, whirled from heaven to earth with a stupendous, velocity, blinding me by its brilliance. And amidst this light and fire I heard music and soft singing, thunderclaps and the roar of a tempest, the rumble of falling mountains and earthquakes. The circle whirled with a terrifying noise, touching the sun and the earth, and, in the center of it I saw the naked, dancing figure of a beautiful young woman, enveloped by a light, transparent scarf, in her hand she held a magic wand. Presently the four apocalyptic beasts began to appear on the edges of the circle; one with the face of a lion, another with the face of a man, the third, of an eagle and the fourth, of a bull. The vision disappeared as suddenly as it appeared. A weird silence fell on me. "What does it mean?" I asked in wonder. "It is the image of the world," the voice said, "but it can be understood only after the Temple has been entered. This is a vision of the world in the circle of Time, amidst the four principles. But thou seest differently because thou seest the world outside thyself. Learn to see it in thyself and thou wilt understand the infinite essence, hidden in all illusory forms. Understand that the world which thou knowest is only one of the aspects of the infinite world, and things and phenomena are merely hieroglyphics of deeper ideas." (Ibid) The Princess of Wands - "We have to keep in mind that the page of Air relates to the Third and to the Eleventh house both. Some of the indications show the mark of Aquarian, i.e. Uranian parentage, others are purely mercurial. The pages always cover the meaning of houses of Air, as we have seen the page of the airy element--wands--is the most airy of them all. The interpretation is easy enough, and the renderings are quite correct, with the exception of one item: we can never see this page as a 'stranger' but rather as an acquaintance, a friend, conforming to the connection with the eleventh house. That with the Third house even may bring his personal standing nearer to the Querent, viz. as a brother or schoolmate." ("The General Book of the Tarot" by A. E. Thierens.)
