Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 24/01/2018; the deck today is the *Ibis Tarot* by Josef Machynka, LWB trans. by Mascha Rabben. I DO like this deck, second only to the *Kier Tarot* by J. Iglesias Janeiro, as far as Egyptian & Egyptian-themed decks go. It reads VERY well, is clear and comprehensible, and contains enough mystery to give your intuition full range. If you can do it, get one, you won’t be disappointed. Onward & Upward! My draw for today is as follows: A) Guiding Arcanum = VII the Chariot; B) Animus = 10 of Swords; C) Anima = 2 of Scepters, and my oracular card today, from *The Anubis Oracle* by Kris Waldherr, N. Scully & L. Star-Wolf, is #19 Amun-Ra (more about the Anubis Oracle later.) Well, I am alive after my 4th physical rehab session; the mornings are good, but the afternoons are killers. I do feel, however, that I am drawing benefit from the process, which can only help my continuing work on the Path. The draw today is problematic; I like having the VII the Chariot as my guiding arcanum today, but what’s this?? “Ruin” in my Animus?? “Escalating conflicts and confrontations. Continuously alternating between fighting and living peacefully, victory and defeat, gain and loss, up and down. Unstable situations result in inner and outer distress. An inner instability, weakness
and struggle. Being one’s own worst enemy. To reach a low point in life, or else to be helpless and at a loss. The result is disappointment and suffering, perhaps loneliness.” (LWB) Wow, cheery fucking interpretation, eh? Grin. I can honestly say that I have NO idea to what this card refers; I feel that none of those “choices” are anywhere near where I am currently at on my Journey. I can see the possibility, perhaps even probability, that this could enter my world through another person being in that state; I no longer see the cosmos in that kind of a duality, a positive/negative ion fight to oblivion. So this card MUST receive a “Wait and See” orange warning tag; it won’t be me is all of which I can be sure. Let’s circle back to VII the Chariot for a moment. “A fighter. Someone capable of decisive, determined action in the face of adversity. A natural winner, warrior and hero. He is clearly in charge and displays a great deal of self-control. Mastery, especially over the lower instincts. Emerging victorious from all sorts of struggles, trials and ordeals. In general: courage, honor, struggle, conquest, victory. The victorious warrior.” (LWB)  Yes . . . well, that is tremendously eulogistic and absolutely MUST be seen in a metaphysical light, this isn’t Lawrence of Arabia and Alexander the Great rolled into one, it is FAR more subtle than that. It is, however, a great guiding thought for the day, and synergistically, the presence of VII the Chariot completely overwhelms the problematic presence of the 10 of Swords. So, yes, thank you for being here today, especially if unwelcome company shows up – Grin. My Anima today is in a similar but slightly “lighter” place than that which squats on my horizon. “Obstacles or difficulties. It could be a strong, dominating force or person meddling with the matter. Someone exerting influence to gain control. Being forced to deal with this interference. It might be a business partner whose opinions differ. The result is anger and frustration.” (LWB) I have to admit, here again, that this card simply doesn’t jive with my manifested reality today.
Where this is coming from I have no idea, but it is in my psychic atmosphere. Someone close to me, if transiting a MAJOR event, could have this kind of effect, but if so, I have yet to hear of it. {{Sigh}} I’ll just have to wait and see. Grin. Luckily for me, things are going MUCH better upstairs than downstairs. My oracular card today is #19 Amun-Ra from *The Anubis Oracle.* The Oracle consists of: 22 Sacred Neteru (individual gods) Cards; 4 Suit cards (the Elements); 8 Composite Cards, composed of god-combinations symbolizing cosmic truths & mysteries. “Amun-Ra – Solar Energies, Transfiguration/Alchemical Gold. Amun-Ra brings together the great solar gods, Amun and Ra, who unite to represent the sun in the fullness of its mysteries. Honoring both the bright golden illuminating brilliance of the day, and the hidden, mysterious night journey when the sun is invisible, Amun-Ra announces our opportunity to step into our full inner authority, into an awakened state of illumined consciousness. When you can full embrace the cycles of life and death, and pass through the portals of light and dark, each transforms into its opposite. ¶ In the dance of Ra and Amun, an alchemical process is unleashed as the seen mixes with the unseen. That which is consciously created from that awareness – a project, event, or object – is the spiritualized matter, the alchemical gold.
We ourselves are the spiritualized matter when we engage with Amun-Ra, who infuses us with dignity and royalty. [? Why royalty? –mm.] The powerful light of the Solar Mysteries shines upon us and transfigures us, and we become spiritually mature beings who embody shamanic consciousness in everyday life. Amun-Ra helps us to realize that everything we need to heal ourselves and our world is within our reach. He enters this oracle to help us find it . . . Choose wisely what you create from this auspicious moment. Remember that whatever you manifest in the physical world not only shines in the visible, blazing light of Ra but also reflects the Great Mystery of the unseen, Amun, the hidden face of the Sun.” (“The Anubis Oracle: A Journey Into The Shamanic Mysteries of Egypt” by N. Scully; L. Star-Wolf & Kris Waldherr; Bear & C., Rochester, 2008.) So, as you can see, between my Guiding Arcanum for today and my oracular card, I KNOW I will be taking the High Road today and actively trying to nurture and birth that divine egg of spiritualized matter ready for my hand today. I’ll let the barbarians fuck around in the muck, if they must. Grin. I ask the Cosmos to grant us ALL access to a higher plane today. Be Well! Be Zen. Be Blessed!!
