Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 06/02/2018; today’s deck is the *Thoth Tarot* by Aleister Crowley & Lady Frida Harris. Today is the first day of this week, as well, in which I go far, far away to the land of physical rehab and work on my lungs, so we are all fact and no froth this morning. My draw today is as follows: A) Guiding Arcanum = XII the Hanged Man; B) Animus = Princess of Swords; C) Anima = Ace of Disks; my oracular card for today is from *The Oracle of Visions* by C. Marchetti and is #33 Patience / Waiting for the Right Moment. So, theses being given, let’s move the wagon train on out and down the trail to Donner’s Pass, eh? Grin. For my “spiritual guidance” today I have received XII the Hanged Man: “Uranus as neutralization and inversion, Neptune as spirit of sacrifice, the 12th house as a symbol for metamorphosis through isolation and knowledge. Tree of Life: From Geburah to Hod. Element: Water. Number: 12 - the perfect number, symbol of the zodiac, 3 x 4. The Hanged Man is a symbol for the turning points in life, showing up a need to stop and assess a situation. We're hanging in the air until we find a new view of the things around us, a proper way to rearrange or restart. But the
Hanged Man is a 'silent' card - there's no pressing need for change. No big change is waltzing towards us - we can peacefully keep on hanging and complaining. The Hanged Man just shows that we're just 'hanging', he requires a new viewpoint, and sometimes a lot of patience. In its positive aspect, the card shows the need for a time of consideration, the forced relaxation gives the opportunity to relax and reflect, to sort thoughts and ideas and find a new way to cope with a situation. Drive: Devotion, acceptance of fate, maturity. Light: Overcoming the ego, changing life, a new sight of the world.” (*Raven* www.corax.com) From there, we look to whom he is a subject of spiritual reference, the two parts or ‘streams’ of my being, my personality as well, my Animus and Anima. First up is my Animus, who has shown up in the avatar of the Princess of Swords: “Astrology: Venus in the Air signs. Element and world: The Earth in the Airs of Yetzirah. Tree of Life: Malkuth. The Princess of Swords is the earthy child of her element, the wind over the grounds of Assiah. Her logic can be destructive, she is perceptive, serious and rigorous, yet she can show the characteristics of a child that lacks morality and nobility. Therefore, the Princess of Swords can get stubborn and cruel, and while beginning to think independently about something, she can turn very discriminating and egoistic, showing aggressivity whenever the result is not to her delight. In the Earth, all the free qualities of Air get suppressed and restricted.
At her best, the Princess of Swords can be very practical and clever, showing fine skills when dealing with material matters or conflicting opinions, she can be generous and kind once she loses the inner fear and insecurity that result from the natural incompatibility between Earth and Air. Drive: Impulsive, curious. Light: Careful, courageous, serious.” (Ibid) Well, that is an interesting way for my Animus to show up, as an imperious young girl far too privileged and in need of a spanking. Grin – now now, no tsk-ing over my fantasy life. LOL. Moving on, my Anima has decided to manifest today in a somewhat surprising manner; she rarely jumps the common agreement to strike out in a totally different direction, but today she has shown up as the Ace of Disks. “Tree of Life: Kether through Earth. Astrology: The signs of the Earth. The Ace of Disks represents the entity of the element Earth, the beginning of Assiah, the material world of making. It stands for the pureness of the element, and also for its seed, the first little sprout that later becomes a tree. So the Ace of Disks can stand for the beginning of a material subject, this can be a physical project or a material value, which could mean the urge to material creation or the chance for material gain . . . But, the Disks not only represent plain materials, but the entire world of Assiah, the actual, physical earth of daily life, and the actual, physical body of the human being. This implies home and profession, daily works, familiar bondings, health and well-being in common. And in this context, the Ace of Disks tells us that something will be created, something will begin. Drive: The beginning of creation. Light: A creation, a beginning, a chance.” (Ibid) My oracular card
does NOT mention that I am to be proclaimed the new Pharaoh of a reconstituted Egypt today, or that I am, by sheer serendipity, granted intimate knowledge of the entire workings of the Universe, therefore it can be of little interest – GRIN – but let’s take a look, anyway, shall we? *Oracle of Visions* card #33, Patience/…Right Moment: “‘Time is but a stream I go a-fishing in. I drink at it, but while I drink I see the sandy bottom and detect how shallow it is. Its thin current slides away, but eternity remains.’ – Henry David Thoreau . . . Despite the desire for results, some occasions or decisions simply should not be rushed. We should approach either with caution or restraint, waiting for the opportune moment. ¶ We must also be wary of being too indulgent and devoting too much time to waiting for some imagined perfect moment, person or thing. Worthy opportunities may be lost if they are overlooked in an anticipation of some intangible better option to arrive.” (LWB) And so we have it; I invite you to fabricate your own construction for my day, much as if you were my reader and these are the cards you drew for my reading. I am, of course, sitting in front of you, waiting in breathless anticipation of your truthful and wise words . . . GRIN. I ask the Cosmos today to give us ALL the need to strike out in a new direction today. Be Well! Be Zen. Be Blessed!!
