Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 11/03/2018; today’s deck is again the *Santa Muerte Tarot* by Fabio Listrani, a deck so wonderfully illustrated that I love using it (almost) just for the art. Grin. The deck is illustrated on the theme of “el día de las muertes” in Mexico, and it is stunningly thought out and executed. For my Oracular Card of the Day, I’ve “found” a new/old deck in my collections that may be JUST the perfect thing to use in conjunction with the Tarot, and it is a deck based entirely upon Astrology; 120 cards, 12 astrological signs, 10 “planets” in each sign. Each card represents a ‘planet’ in a sign. IT is all quite clear, and marvelously simple; I love it. I also love finding something I already have actually having far more usefulness and significance than I gave it credit for in the first place. One of those things “you bought *knowing* you would need it someday.” The deck is called *Astrogame* by Brigitte Badel, and is put out by Grimaud, the French card publisher. I must have bought mine as “used,” because there is no LWB, although it is stated there is one. Frankly, I prefer it without one – it seems self-explanatory to me, and I have a very basic use for it; I’m not trying to construct elaborate fantasy charts for any reason.
“Astrology ain’t my thang, gal; Sacred Tarot is” Onward & Upward! The draw for today is as follows: A) Guiding Arcanum = XXI the World; B) MaleFog = 2 of Pentacles; C) FemFog = 3 of Wands; my oracular card for today is ‘Venus in Cancer’, signifying tenderness & loving sweetness. I like the hand today, but then again, I like most hands that start out with XXI the World. Grin. But it is the rest of the hand that constitutes the solidity of my “like” this morning – tension resulting in creativity in the 2 of Pentacles, and creation, wonder and resolution. As for the oracular card, it speaks for itself, doesn’t it? The angels have nothing but honey dripping from their mouths this morning – Grin. Let’s take a closer look at all three cards. First, XXI the World; “The card of total realization, of expansion and achievement. The World brings with it a slow but constant and determined evolution towards success, fullness, towards one’s real personal and professional objectives, as if towards the transformation and discovery of a new balance at the peak of a cycle. If this card presents itself at the beginning of a reading, it could bring up a problem connected to a difficult beginning of something, where a premature realization is necessary before the action, a contraction of time with the risk of not being able to conclude when necessary, or else the emergence of egocentric or dispersive characteristics. ‘The advice of the dead: Do not give up and do not be afraid. The road you have taken is the right one and whatever difficulty you find will be brief and you will achieve the results you desire.’” (LWB) I can completely grok this – I feel so near to a greater understanding, and now this medical issue pops up like a weeping wart, suddenly deforming the horizon and blocking my path and my view of the Path ahead, so maddeningly near but first, ugh . . . this.
Let’s move on. The 2 of Pentacles; “We are in front of two aspects of the same thing that once united will be ready to fly but not until a great transformation has occurred.  The transfer however will be precarious and full of obstacles and worries. The desire to conclude a situation that is currently on hold, such as a contract or financial project (OR a clean bill of health! Also a Pentacle matter,) could result in arguments or problems. ‘The advice of the dead: Moderate spending and acquisition for the moment and await a more favorable and clear moment to act.” (LWB) If we are speaking of the “money” in question as my desire to acquire, to learn, and to “spend” as much knowledge as I can, then it makes sense. I understand what the card is saying to me, even though it isn’t obvious; ‘”There’s a hitch in yer giddy-up, Cowboy; better fix it afore you be ridin’ up that trail to Paradise Ridge,” GRIN. In the FemFog today we have the 3 of Wands, a minor arcanum that visits often-ish lately, but doesn’t stay for tea; “A dynamic arcanum, active and positive, that encourages improvement and virtue through an explosion of vital energy. The three of Wands guides us towards new undertakings, the beginning of new occasions and also new relationships that could lead to further business or affections . . . ‘The advice of the dead; in this moment you do not require the help of anyone.
Proceed with energy towards your new creation;’” (LWB) This is one of those, “Yeah, that’s half right, but the other half completely baffles me!” cards.  I get it, but at the same time, it seems a bit over-rosy to me, unless that is a clue that I’m overdramatizing and everything will be ‘fine’. “On verra” on that one, BIG time. Finally yet first is the astrological oracular card, Venus in Cancer. “While Venus transits the sign of Cancer some will find partnering, nesting, stoking the fires of heart and hearth desirable. Others will be challenged to address the emotional defenses keeping us from giving and receiving love. “I don’t want to live- I want to love first, and live incidentally.” -Zelda Fitzgerald, Venus in Cancer. “What we have once enjoyed, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” – Helen Keller, Venus in Cancer. “The great gift of human beings is that we have the power of empathy.” – Meryl Streep, Venus in Cancer.'” ( Okay, I get it: Wild, Venusian/Cancerian love is in the air and may reach hurricane status, so stay watchful, and measure any response carefully. I’m not ready to have anyone’s baby – GRIN. I ask the Cosmos to grant us ALL the élan to find our solutions easily & gracefully today. Be Well! Be Zen. Be Blessed!!
